Guapo takes Worlds!

Heckawee celebrates after Guapo soloed to take the second stage of the 2009 Wednesday Night Worlds! The Chief was on last night covering breaks and pulling Guapo back to the front of the race. From the podium, Guapo yelled while shedding tears, "Lap dances for everyone!"

He has not been seen since.

The return of Heckawee Epic

After two weekends of intense racing and calorie counting to ensure top race performance, Heckawee set off on a ride of epic proportions. Here they are contemplating dinner while the Chief explains how to be one with the bison:
After battling the fresh laid gravel of the Kerr and Short, they decided to break in the settlement of Cobden. They discovered the locals had good Mexican heritage:
But silo and burrito was not enough for El Guapo. The Chief had promised pitchers of Stella and pizza!
Getting home was no problem for Heckawee. Guapo complained of puking not bonking, which is the Heckawee way. A day in the Kerr is not complete without Bison.

Molteni is happy time.

Heckawee works well on the open road in between gravel sections of the Rouge Roubaix. Not sure if these were taken while Heckawee was on attack or chasing back to the front of the race after a much needed stop for inspiration.
